Half way along the Queensland coast,
nestle a group of 74 lush, green islands bordered on the east by the magnificent
Great Barrier Reef, and to the west by wooded headlands and sandy bays of the
Whitsunday coast.
In 1770, James Cook had no idea that he
was sailing through what would become one of the world's best yachting and
holiday destinations. There are a myriad of resorts and accommodation houses
both on the mainland and the islands to choose from, and getting here is easy.
There are daily flights from major cities in Australia, or train and bus
services.

The climate is sub-tropical, with winter
day temperatures (June to August) around 20 degrees C, and summer temperatures
up to the mid 30's. The best time to visit is between July and October, but, as
our climate suggests, we operate all year round.
Airlie Beach, the gateway to the
Whitsunday Islands is where we are based. It is fast becoming one of the most
popular holiday destinations in Australia, and it has rapidly become a "mecca"
for yachting enthusiasts. There is lots to do, with great restaurants, hotels
and resorts, regular ferries, charter operators and flights out to the islands,
parties and events happening all the time. During the winter time you may even
get to see the Hump-Back whales as they migrate through the islands!
