Practical
Courses
On our practical courses all meals and
linen are provided. All you need to bring is your clothing, a hat, sunglasses
(polarized are best) and sunscreen. Spending all day on the water can be very
indusive to sunburn so perhaps a long sleeve shirt should be included. You may
want to bring along some additional drinks or snacks as we provide breakfast,
lunch and dinner, along with coffee, tea, bottled water and fruit juice. Don't
forget your camera and sense of humour, after all, we like to make this fun!
Theory Courses
In our Dayskipper and Coastal
Skipper/Yachtmaster shorebased courses, all you need to bring is an A4 style
notebook and a pen. You will receive a training pack containing:
We also supply navigation instruments such
as dividers and a protractor for use during the course, however you may bring
your own.
The course training manual covers the
entire course syllabus in brief form. If you would like more comprehensive books
on any aspect of RYA training ,you may be interested in purchasing the
